About

Reason for Dummies

This is a blog dedicated to Reason - one of the coolest music making programs out there, made by Propellerhead Software. It is an addictive music making tool, simulating real instruments and effects with built in sequencer, which can help you make really high quality electronic music. Due to it`s realism however, some people may find the program a little confusing, especially if they are using DAW-like software for the first time.

My goal is to explain all the basic concepts in easy way for the beginners, focusing on the most important parts at first. Later, I may review some of the things discussed before more deeply. I myself am not some expert, I have learned everything by trial and error and I don`t claim to know it all - this is a beautiful kind of a program in which you can always discover new things no matter how experienced you are, so the learning process is constant. If you have something to add to any of the tutorials which I have forgotten to include, you may share it with a comment below the post.

When you visit the URL: http://reasonfordummies.blogspot.com/, your will see the latest tutorial, covering the given topic exhaustively, illustrated with visual examples. The simple design and the lack of useless sidebars constitutes into a much more focused read, taking full advantage of your screen width. The complete, chronologically ordered list of the tutorials available is located at the bottom of the blog. Simple as that.
